چکیده
Landfills are the dominant method of municipal solid waste (MSW) disposal in many developing countries, which extremely susceptible to failure under circumstances high pore water pressure and insufficient compaction. Catastrophic landfill failures have occurred worldwide, causing large numbers fatalities. Tianziling landfill, one largest engineered sanitary landfills China, has experienced massive deformation since January 2020, making early identification monitoring great significance for purpose risk management. The human posed by potential also needs be quantitatively evaluated. interferometric synthetic aperture radar (InSAR) technique, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) photogrammetry, ground measurements were combined obtain data this study. integrated satellite–UAV–ground survey (ISUGS) approach ensures a comprehensive understanding evolution. characteristics obtained using InSAR technique UAV photogrammetry analyzed compared. A close relationship between most severe mobility events, precipitation episodes, was observed. Based on hazard ISUGS, quantitative assessment (QRA) F-N curves proposed, can applied landfills. comparison showed that ISUGS allowed better spatial temporal evolution more accurate QRA results, could as references local governments take effective precautions.

Assessment of Soil Contamination near Unlined Municipal Solid Waste Landfill
The disposal of municipal solid waste into the landfills has been recognized as the major source of soil, surface water and groundwater contamination. Municipal solid waste disposal site for the city of Ludhiana, in Punjab, India, has become an overflowing landfill because of the indiscriminate dumping of solid waste at the site. The leachate produced by landfilling site contains a large amount...
متن کاملMunicipal solid waste landfill siting using intelligent system.
Historically, landfills have been the dominant alternative for the ultimate disposal of municipal solid waste. This paper addresses the problem of siting a new landfill using an intelligent system based on fuzzy inference. The proposed system can accommodate new information on the landfill site selection by updating its knowledge base. Several factors are considered in the siting process includ...
متن کاملDegradation of Biodegradable/Degradable Plastics in Municipal Solid-Waste Landfill
This paper provides information about biodegradability of biodegradable/degradable materials advertised as 100%-degradable or certified as compostable in a municipal solid-waste landfill. It describes a 12month experiment with five samples that took place in a landfill. The results, demonstrated that the polyethylene sample with the additive (samples 1) and sample labelled as 100% degradable (s...
متن کاملApplication of GIS in Landfill Siting for Municipal Solid Waste
Uncontrolled growth of the urban population in developing countries in recent years has made solid waste management an important issue. Today municipal solid waste management (MSWM) is one of the most challenging issues in urban cities, which are facing a serious pollution problem due to the generation of huge quantities of solid waste. This results in development of environmentally sustainable...

among the environmental problems in nigeria is the lack of proper management of municipal solid wastes (msw), which is capable of releasing hazardous chemicals via leachate to the surrounding environment. in this study, the potential toxic effects of raw leachate obtained from aba-eku landfill (aerl) on clarias gariepinus; and the microorganisms that may be present in the leachate were investig...
